With its three-door configuration and impressive style, the Hyundai Veloster has always stood out as one of the more unique vehicles currently offered on the market. Now, Hyundai is ready to introduce a new 2019 Hyundai Veloster, one that keeps the same design as the previous-generation model, but with a few improvements here and there that make it stand out even more out on the road.

Oh, and Hyundai has also upped the ante in terms of performance with the brand new Hyundai Veloster N, the first Hyundai model to feature the N designation. With the Hyundai Veloster N, buyers get a genuine sports car that stands out both in terms of performance and of design. Let’s take a closer look.

The 2019 Hyundai Veloster will still be as fuel-efficient

There will be two engines in the brand new 2019 Hyundai Veloster lineup when the model first hits the market in a few months. The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is also found in the Hyundai Elantra, notably, and that provides 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The other option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine, found in the 2019 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, is certainly noteworthy in that it provides its owner with plenty of power without necessarily meaning terrible fuel economy.

That said, it’s the new Veloster N that certainly attracted the most attention at the North American International Auto Show.

A new breed of performance is born with the 2019 Hyundai Veloster N

The Hyundai Veloster N took everyone by surprise at the North American International Auto Show, and with good reason. Indeed, the new Veloster N features an incredible combination of design and power that will make it one of the most awaited new vehicles of 2019.

Budget-friendly, the 2019 Hyundai Veloster N will still feature a very powerful engine. Indeed, its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine is expected to deliver 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. There will be a host of other improvements made to the Veloster N including the addition of what Hyundai calls a N Power Sense Axle design that will improve steering and stability.

Moreover, owners will be able to adjust how their vehicle behaves thanks to five driving modes that include Normal, Sport, Eco, N, and N Customer which will all impact throttle response, handling, engine revs, damping, the N differential and other features as well.
